The user journey map was created to identify offline and online user needs and content requirements across a guest’s experience through all of the company’s user-facing platforms. This map gave the team a bird’s eye view of the relationship between Marriott and the guest from a user’s perspective. This map helped us to focus where we could optimize certain experiences and where there may be some gaps in each platform.
